The lives of the two brothers, Tin-sang and Wai-sun began to change after they meet up again. In order to avoid his abusive father (Fu-shing), Fu-shing works with his mother (Yuk-mui) at a restaurant. He is good friends with Yiu Man-ying (Krystal Tin) and Lung Fei (Louis Yuen). Wai-sun, who is very simple-minded, only wants to live a peaceful and comfortable life in Macau. In addition, Tin-sang also has an ambiguous relationship with a triad member named Keung Yung (Louis Cheung) who later caused Tin-sang to end up in jail. In order to achieve his goal, he seduces Favio (Ankie Beilke) and uses her in the process. He has a girlfriend named Rachael Cheuk (Linda Chung) whom he is willing to do anything to fulfill her dreams of opening a fashion store. The very hardworking and ambitious Tin-sang managed to graduate from college and became a police officer like his biological father, Kiu Sum. The two brothers lived very different lives in the course of the next 20 years. The family of four eventually got separated with Tin-sang ending up in Hong Kong, while Yuk-mui, Fu-shing, and Wai-sun ending up in Macau. Not long after, the family of four decided to cross the border to start a new life in Hong Kong. In Foshan, Yuk-mui got married with Law Fu-shing (Lau Kong) and gave birth to Wai-sun a few years afterwards. Due to Kiu Sum refusing to marry Chow Yuk-mui, Yuk-mui decided to take Tin-sang to Foshan, China to start anew. Sang was born in Hong Kong, the son of Chow Yuk-mui (Louise Lee) and Kiu Sum (Lee Kwok Lun). Synopsis: Brother's Keeper is a story about two brothers of the same mother but different fathers, Kiu Tin-sang (Ruco Chan) and Law Wai-sun (Edwin Siu).

While it rated poorly in cinema reviews, it's still worth checking out, as it's the first of its kind in Singaporean movie history.Broadcast Period: SeptemNovemReplacing: Always and Ever 情逆三世緣Ĭast: Ruco Chan Linda Chung Edwin Siu Kristal Tin Louise Lee Louis Yuen Susan Tse Louis Cheung Ankie Beilke Leanne Li Roseanne Lui Angelina LoBecky LeeLee Kwok LunLau KongChun Wong The film represents various kinds of characters from different eras that include an inter-racial middle-aged gay couple, a band who uses the hotel for orgies and drugs, nubile women learning about their sexuality, a May-December love affair, and a woman's quest for the elusive orgasm. The movie is a multi-story erotic drama that spans several decades – starting in 1942 during the surrender of the British to Japanese troops up to the present time – and is set in room 27 of a fading grand Singaporean hotel. However, it was allowed release in 2016 after an international version was polished and masks some scenes with special effects. Directed by Eric Khoo, In the Room is one of the few erotic films that dared to air in the market but was not granted commercial release because the director didn't want to cut certain explicit scenes. But it doesn't stop directors from pushing the boundaries and exploring this genre that is rarely consumed by a local audience. Hollywood’s most titillating films like Fifty Shades of Grey tops the box office in Singapore, but it's local audience are simply not interested in locally made sensual flicks hence there's a scarcity of Singaporean erotic films in the market.
